I am originally from South Lincolnshire but now reside in North Norfolk on the beautiful Holkham Estate where my wife and I both work. I have been running the potato growing enterprise on the estate since graduating from Newcastle University where I studied Agri-Business Management.

‘How to counteract the agronomic and market challenges facing the UK potato industry’

Study Overview

The humble potato, the British staple, is under pressure in the UK with inflationary growing costs, downward sales trends and increased growing challenges. However, there should be great room for optimism as the product still retains the largest amount of space on fresh produce aisles and potato products are consumed daily by a global population. It is an industry that is worth over four billion to the UK economy and I hope to find solutions to drive the sector forward from my findings around the world.
