I’m a mixed and diversified Organic farmer from South Cornwall. Environmental land management is a key part of my business. This includes; lowland heathland, species rich grassland, agroforestry and Native breed cattle and sheep to name a few.

Public engagement, events, education and sharing my ideas which are often outside box keeps farming life interesting. I love new ideas and strive to create a farm which is financially and environmentally sustainable for future generations.

I’m delighted that my scholarship is sponsored by the CHK foundation who’s values are so closely aligned with my own.

Stacking land uses for business & environmental sustainability.

Study Overview

Stacking land uses for business and environmental sustainability
Can farmers financially benefit from arable, horticultural, carbon, energy, meat, dairy, social, recreational and of course environmental gains on the same piece of land simultaneously and sustainably?
Can a model be created that will enable present and future generations to capitalise on all of these outputs as a business while protecting the flexibility to innovate and change the way land is used to suit current needs?
I hope to see how the multifunctional outputs of land can be layered on top of each other producing higher overall sustained outputs than any single use could provide.
