A Conference not to be missed!
“On behalf of the organising committee for this years conference can I extend an enthusiastic invitation to Sandy Park on the 15th and 16th of November 2023.
With some catching up to do following Covid, we have a unique opportunity to be hosting up to forty presenting scholars with an exciting variety of topics. There will be a new format using two conference halls simultaneously bringing with it the ability this year to tailor your own program and focus on your preferred presentations.
The pre conference Farm Visit tour also plans to be seriously interesting with a visit to meet Pete and Di Wastenage at Wastenage Farm. Pete and Di Wastenage milk 2700 dairy cows over 9 different sites, with an emphasis on Block Calving and use of pasture to run a low cost system; they also own an 800 head goat milking operation.
It just leaves me to say that although the conference is very much about our current crop of scholars presenting to the alumni of scholars, local and NFST sponsors and the wider industry, could I also encourage anyone thinking of applying for a scholarship to come along and find out what we are all about.
