Frank Parkinson Agricultural Trust
The main objective of the Trust is to support the improvement and welfare of British Agriculture for the public benefit.
The Trustees have developed a progressive strategy, informed by strategic research and reports addressing global issues. This strategy is centred on enhancing the productivity of British Agriculture to meet the challenges of a growing world population, increased competition for resources and a need to reduce environmental impact. This must be achieved in partnership with the wider population as well as local communities.
FPAT is keen to support projects and programmes that identify and spread best business and technological practice for the benefit of British Agriculture. These need to have clear and quantifiable benefits that can be communicated widely and applied to the industry as a whole.
A key element is 'leadership' so the Trustees can see robust outcomes translated into widespread practical action. FPAT is therefore very pleased to be able to support the work of the Nuffield Farming Scholarship Trust.
