Ed is a dairy farmer focused on building a resilient, profitable business for the future. Before starting to milk cows on his own farm, he gained valuable experience night milking at SRUC Crichton Farm, which helped shape his ambitions for his own herd. Working alongside his brother, Ed is driving the growth and succession of the family business, with plans to expand to a second unit while continuing to progress ownership and responsibility.

Highly involved in Young Farmers and wider industry networks, Ed values leadership, personal development and open conversation, and is passionate about learning from others to make a positive, lasting mark on the business and the wider sector.
