Trustee (Communications & Engaging the Alumni)

David is a third generation farmer with over 40 years farming experience in mixed enterprises. In 1998 he formed a cooperative arable venture with three other arable farmers that collectively farmed 3000 acres, sharing all income and expenditure.

Home Farm currently comprises 450 acres of arable land, an agro forestry research project, an edible woodland pilot supported by the woodland Trust and a nature trail. There is also a diversification hub, based around an Ecocentre, including a café, fitness centre and Men in Sheds mental health project. He host a Forest School and educational visits, and have strong links with local YFC groups. We also process and sell produce from the 5,500 fruit and nut trees in the edible woodland.

David also sits on the SAI Global UK Impartiality Board, The Board of Trustees for Chadik (Gill Bullock charity ), is the Education officer for Flintham Show society and is a Farming Advocate and demonstration farmer for the Woodland Trust. He has also recently been awarded a FRAgS .
