Trustee (Communications)

Anna Bowen is a 2021 Scholar with a study which explored the feasibility of implementing cow calf contact systems on commercial dairy farms and the social licence lessons the dairy industry can learn from horse racing.

At the Royal Agricultural College, she read BSc (Hons) International Equine and Agricultural Management and MSc Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security.

With her husband Freddie she contract farms 300 spring block calving dairy cows in Ceredigion. Outside of the milking parlour she works for The Andersons Centre as a farm business consultant, specialising in dairy and nutrient management planning, and works as a freelance writer and mobility scorer. She is involved in farming outreach programmes and competes in affiliated dressage with her ex-racehorse Woody.
