Amy Stoner 2024 NSch
Amy lives in Rutland with her husband, Dan. Passionate about food, she set up her own business running children's cookery parties, participated in young farmers cookery competitions, and worked in the local village pub. This led Amy to study Food & Nutrition (BSc) and Food Industry Management (MSc) at Harper Adams University.
After graduating, Amy spent two years in Australia, gaining hands-on experience across the food supply chain by working on an arable farm for harvest and seeding, a cattle station, and a winery in Western Australia.
She returned to the UK in 2021, to join Samworth Brothers, a food manufacturing company supplying all the major UK retailers, where she now works as Compliance and Raw Materials Manager. Through her role, Amy is passionate about taking a forward-thinking approach, which led to her Nuffield study topic, investigating how we can ensure a more resilient fresh produce supply chain in the UK.
Amy joins the board as 2024 Nuffield Farming Scholarships returning Scholar Trustee.
