The British Egg Marketing Board Research and Education Trust
Every year since 1974 the British Egg Marketing Board Research and Education Trust has been sponsoring a Nuffield Scholar in a subject related to egg production or marketing. It is estimated that 80% of the egg production industry is represented within the Nuffield Scholars Poultry Group.
The Royal Norfolk Show is still strongly agricultural and welcomes over 100,000 visitors each year making it the largest two day agricultural show in the UK. It is a long time supporter of the Nuffield Farming Scholarship Trust.
Since its formation in 1837, the Yorkshire Agricultural Society (YAS) has evolved into a powerful and influential organisation. The countryside is important to us all, whether we live or work there or simply spend time enjoying it.
YAS is perhaps best known for organising and hosting the annual Great Yorkshire Show and Countryside Live, however it also provides support to regional farming and countryside initiatives, The value of this support has risen year on year to nearly £1m.

Yorkshire Bank has a dedicated team of Agribusiness Managers who can provide financial solutions ranging from overdrafts to hire purchase to farm purchase loans.
The charity has among its objects the sponsorship of research into livestock breeding and animal health, provision of educational bursaries to degree level students, and provision of travelling scholarships, with preference given to applicants from the West of England.

The Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland
For more than 200 years The Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland has creatively promoted the interests and priorities of the land-based industries and rural communities of Scotland. Events such as the world-famous Royal Highland Show, distinguished awards for excellence and achievement, the Royal Highland Education Trust's noted work with schools, are a few examples of how the Society communicates key messages about Scottish agriculture and associated industries.
The Worshipful Company of Farmers grew out of the Company of Agriculturalists (subsequently altered to the “Company of Farmers”) of the City of London which had been established on 23rd September 1946.
The main aims and objectives of the Farmers Company:
- stimulating the development of agricultural education
- providing financial assistance for overseas agricultural visits
- the provision of a common meeting ground for farmers and allied professions
- the promotion of a better understanding of the importance of farming in the economic life of the nation and the close association of farming with the City of London

South of England Agricultural Society
Founded in its present form as a registered charity in 1967 with its 150 acre venue situated in Ardingly, West Sussex.
The Society’s remit is to promote an interest in and knowledge of the countryside, agriculture, equestrian matters, horticulture and forestry through staging the South of England Show and other educational events.
An educational programme provides support for a wide range of projects; annually the Society funds awards, sponsors projects and contributes to agricultural and rural initiatives.
Pedigree Hereford Cattle have been recorded by the Hereford Cattle Society for over 150 years.
Many established UK herds have combined Breedplan International Performance Recording with the importation of new bloodlines and are now able to offer genetics not found anywhere else in the World.
The main objective of the Frank Parkinson Agricultural Trust is to contribute to the improvement and welfare of British agriculture.

Royal Welsh Agricultural Society

For over 200 years, the objectives of The Royal Smithfield Club have been to actively support and promote all activity aimed at helping to improve the production of quality meat in the United Kingdom, which includes the organisation of demonstrations, presentations, competitions and support of study scholarships.
To support this objective the principal activity of The Royal Smithfield Club is the organisation of primestock competitions, now held at The Royal Smithfield Christmas Fair at The Showground, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, in late November / early December, together with The National Festival of Meat regional competitions for primal cuts of beef and lamb.
