Scholar elected to chair Dairy Crest Direct

Brian Barnett (UK Scholar 1992) has been elected to chair a new body represrenting 1400 dairy producers.

After the first board meeting he confirmed that the core aim is to achieve a sustainable return for producers. I believe that to do this we must work in collaboration with Dairt Crest wherever possible to bring us closer to the retail market.

We now have one group represetning producers delivering approximately 1.4bn litres of milk - that has got to be a step in the right direction.
