A past President of Ulster Farmers Union, Will is Chairman of the European Unions Advisory Committee for Livestock. He is the current President of the British Grassland Society and a member of the Northern Ireland Economic Development Forum, NI Food Standards Agency Committee and a Director of United Dairy Farmers. In 2000 he received the Belfast Telegraph Cup for services to agriculture.

The Frank Arden Award will examine Opportunities for UK Agriculture arising from the accession of the new European countries. Wills time will be spent time in Brussels and the accession countries. He will seek opportunities to provide technical assistance, establish joint farming operations to support UK retailer activity, the establishment of organic production and the export of UK value added products to the accession countries.
